The Devil's Punchbowl Area is located approximately 8.5 miles from Aspen. Park at the large parking area on the river side of the road.
To reach the Whirlpool Area cross Hwy 82 and hike uphill on an obvious trail towards the cliff. Take a left at the telephone pole and walk another 100ft or so to the base of Whirlpool Arete
To reach I.C.B.J. you can either park at the Devil's Punchbowl pullout and walk back down the road to the boulder or if there is room park at small pullout just across the road from the boulder. I.C.B.J. is located just under Hwy 82 on the riverside of the road. Be careful of loose gravel on the edge of the road.
Whirlpool Boulder and surrounding
1. [V0] Start with your legs in the slot between the boulders and climb out. Watch your back.
2. Whirlpool Arete [V7] Great problem, great landing. Start standing with the left hand on a slopping rail and the right on a sharp divoted hand smear, pull up and start battling. The low start all the way left on the rail is [V11].
3. [V1] SDS on crimps
4. [V2] SDS on crimps to the left angling slab.
I.C.B.J.
1. [V3] Climbs the seam on the shorter part of the wall left and up from I.C.B.J. The top out needs cleaning.
2. Ice Cream Blow Job [V5] 
Start down in the pit and climb up the overhanging wall. Fun moves and great rock but bring a spotter and some pads for the landing.
3. [V?] Around the corner from #1 is a roof problem with sharp holds and hard moves.
